2 c. sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 c milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 T cocoa-heaping
1/4 t. salt
combine in pan. bring to a boil stirring constantly. boil 1-3 min. remove from heat and stir until lukewarm. stir in 1 t. vanilla and continue beating until smooth, spreading consistency.
